What The Experts Say About CD Playright

Welcome to our World!

During March of 1998 a leading manufacturer of DVD Players introduced us to Warner Advanced Media Operations also known as WAMOTM. WAMO is the world's largest producer of CD and DVD media. At their request, WAMO agreed to set up procedures and conduct tests of our products to verify their market worthiness.

We sent WAMO sufficient product samples to meet their test needs. The WAMO engineering team abused DVD media to simulate the accidents which befall media, others were more blatant attempts to give our product a real test.

Dear David,

We have completed testing of the CD Playright "Quick Shield with Cleaner/Repair Kit" and we are very impressed with the results. Your product successfully restored damaged DVDs to original manufacturing conditions. The "Quick Shield with Cleaner" proved to be a reliable protector against scuffs and scratches. Areas not protected were scratched and scuffed more easily. I plan to use the "Quick Shield" at home to make my DVDs "Kid-Safe".

I have included six test results of DVDs before being scratched, after scratched, and after
cleaned. In each case you will find a substantial reduction in digital error rates after being cleaned and in one case, a no-play restored to a playable disc. The discs were scratched and scuffed using player drawers, pens, sleeves, and jewel cases and cleaned according to the product directions. Please note PI Error Max and PO Fail Max on the test results. PI Error is similiar to Block Error Rate (BLER) on CDs and PO Fail is similar to C2s or uncorrectable data.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

Best Regards,

You Be the Expert: Give Us Your Experience

"My husband was using our home PC and the computer system crashed (this has happened a few times), but when he tried to reload the system software, the Windows CD was damaged and he could not get it to recognize the data. He attempted to wipe off the smudge prints and noticed a rather deep scratch. He said he might as well buy a new Windows CD. Then, I remembered that I had a CD PLAYRIGHT Repair Kit. I followed the directions for the three step process and it fixed the scratch. He was really impressed!"
